Dumb question but

Was ManBearPig inspired by the “Great Outdoors” description of the ferocious bear just from John Candy’s character’s explanation? ManBearPig is pretty comical to a point and I wonder if the creators watched this movie and took somewhat of an inspiration from the movie. Could be reaching but I’m watching the movie rn and I can see some comparisons to ManBearPig 😂 could be drunk might’ve been high writing this post who knows.
