Tools from time capsules dropping automatically

I'm playing Subnautica and whenever I find a time capsule with tools in it, sometimes they will just drop / delete themselves from my inventory and I can't pick them up again? I am playing modded but I don't know if that would affect this?

Any ideas what causes this? I saw a steam forum post about the issue but it just devolved into the semantics of why the map is called the Crater 💀
