There's a lot more to Tony's Octavian/Augustus comment than meets the eye
Early in Season 1 when Junior becomes the new Boss, Tony tells him about how Octavian became Augustus, and how everyone loved him because he was a fair emperor and shared his wealth. There's a lot more to this than though.
When Tony starts talking about Augustus, Junior asks him if he was "the one they stabbed in the back", and Tony tells him that was Julius, not Augustus. The significance of that comment is that Julius Caesar adopted Augustus as his son, and he was his nephew by blood (sound familiar?)
Further, Julius Caesar ended up dying after being stabbed to death by many of his closest friends, and of course it was learning that many of his capos were meeting with Tony behind his back that led Junior to realizing he was effectively a puppet boss.
